It's quite interesting, especially if you're a fan in your 40s. To be honest, I've never owned a .40 pistol or rifle. I have nothing against the cartridge - I just shoot, shoot and reload 9mm and .45 ACP. I didn't see the need to choose with the .40 since I own the "bookends" surrounding it on the caliber shelf. I have often thought about getting a .40 and will do so in the future. If I do, the reload will die and the bullet mold would be next in line.

Carrying a weapon that dispenses 400 (or more) pounds of energy would generally give you confidence. This is true, especially if this weapon was not large, easy to carry and held a dozen or more cartridges. I think part of the downfall of the .40 is that the ballistic evolution of the 9mm cartridge really took off. Plus, there are now some pretty fluffy 9mm fillers that provide pounds of energy like the Hostess Twinkies provide calories.

As you can carry more 9mm ammo than .40 ammo in a defined space, it makes a difference. Full Conceal Glock - Starting in March of this year, Full Conceal will be shipping their own aluminum Glock stock. It will be an in-house product and will allow shooters to take the Gen3, Gen4, or Gen5 Upper Slide Assemblies they already own and create their own folding Glock pistol. The new full aluminum Glock lower from Full Conceal is called the M3D AL.

The M3D AL is a full aluminum frame with a black anodized finish. In the future, Full Conceal may also entertain Cerakote color options. This complete lower will be fitted with factory Glock (OEM) steel components with a steel trigger shoe for full concealment. The finished lowers expected to ship in March will have deeper pieces than any of the prototype photos in this article as fair warning. Like the Gen5, the Full Conceal M3D AL has no finger tips on the front strap of the frame and is milled for a double-sided slide lock.

Considering a fully concealed pistol retails for around $1,000, the M3D AL below seems pretty reasonable and versatile enough to fit your Gen3, Gen4, or Gen5 upper slide assemblies. Or we have offered for the past year - we have not been disappointed. Full Conceal Founder/CEO Mike Full showed us the new Full Conceal M3D-S6, an in-house built folding Glock 19 (G19) model that is significantly less expensive than the Full Conceal. Last year's DR covered M3D we're talking $599.00 USD MSRP and M3D's $999.00 USD. The reason for the price difference is that the M3D folding pistol starts from the factory G19, so the gun's relatively high base price must be factored into the M3D's price. The Full-Ceal M3D-S6 folding 9mm pistol has a lightweight slide, and one of the DRs shown at SHOT has a 21 or 22 round pistol.
